Ariana Jean Grande (Boca Raton, 26 giugno 1993) è un'attrice e cantante statunitense di origine italiana. Ariana Grande è nata e cresciuta a Boca Raton, in Florida. Suo fratello maggiore è Frankie J. Grande, attore e produttore. Studiando canto con Eric Vetro, da bambina, inizia ad esibirsi al Little Palm Theatre for Young People di Boca Raton. Pochi anni dopo, invece, nel Flor Lauderdale Children's Theater (FLCT). Debutta con il ruolo di Charlotte nel musical 13, a Broadway, che le fa vincere il National Youth Theatre Association Award. Per il ruolo, lascia la sua scuola, che manda lei il materiale necessario perché possa studiare privatamente. Il ruolo teatrale successivo è stato quello di Miriam in Cuba Libre, spettacolo composto da Desmond Child. Ariana insegna musica e danza ai bambini in Sud Africa ogni anno, è infatti membro del "Broadway in South Africa".
Nel 2009 è stata scelta per il ruolo di Cat Valentine nella serie Victorious, trasmessa da Nickelodeon.
Il 10 agosto 2011 ha annunciato di aver firmato un contratto con la Universal Republic Records e che pubblicherà il suo primo album entro la fine del 2011 o gli inizi del 2012.

On August 10, 2011 she announced on her Official Twitter account that she has a signed a recording contract with Universal Republic Records and will be releasing her first single soon.

Early life
Ariana Grande was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She is of Italian descent, half Sicilian, half Abruzzese.Her older brother is actor-producer Frankie Grande. She studies voice with Eric Vetro. As a child, Grande began performing at Boca Raton’s former Little Palm Theatre for Young People. A few years later, she started to perform in Fort Lauderdale Children's Theater (FLCT). Grande revealed on an Ustream broadcast that she is Hypoglycemic.She has also revealed on her Tumblr that she has an allergy to Shellfish.

Career
In 2008, Grande played the role of Charlotte in the musical 13 on Broadway, for which she won a National Youth Theatre Association Award. When she joined the musical, Grande left her high school, North Broward Preparatory School, but continued to be enrolled. The school sent materials to her for study with tutors. She played the role of Miriam in the first reading of the forthcoming musical Cuba Libre composed by Desmond Child. Grande teaches music and dance to children in South Africa each year as a member of "Broadway in South Africa".
